MAN ONE X SHEPPARD MULLIN = DTLA
In September I was commissioned by legendary LA law firm Sheppard Mullin to create a live painting at an exclusive event at their Downtown LA office located at 2 Cal Plaza. I created a painting that incorporated some of the buildings from their past and present office locations in DTLA. Important names to the firm are sprinkled around the sky and clouds and a colorful spray painted “Los Angeles” floats along the bottom. The concrete like sidewalk at the bottom has a carved out “Sheppard 1927” tag.
The event was a huge success and some notable attendees including US soccer legend Alexi Lalas! Enjoy the pics and video. Special thanks to Rocky Delgadillo for having me involved.
MAN ONE SOLO SHOW AT GABBA GALLERY
“NOTHING BUT CHARACTER” is my newest solo exhibition at Gabba Gallery, one of Downtown LA’s nicest spaces to view and purchase art. The exhibition was curated by gallery owner Jason Ostro and gallery manager Elena Jacobson. Thirteen of my character based works were selected for this exhibition, my first with the gallery.
Opening night was on Saturday September 13th and it was a blast! Alongside my exhibition, they are also featuring 5 other artists solo shows including Essi Zimm, Jeff Gillette, Regan Russell, Vakseen, and Jeffrey Sklan. All really great work that compliments the space nicely.
The exhibitions are on view through October 4th and they are open weekly Wednesday - Saturday and from 12-3pm. If you are a collector and interested in my pieces you can purchase them directly from the gallery online at this link: HERE
GABBA Gallery is located at 235 S. Broadway Los Angeles, CA 90012
SUPPORT LATINO ARTISTS!
I was compelled to say a few words about our current socio-political climate and the racism targeting us Latinos, brown and black people. Please take five minutes to hear my take on our situation. It’s up to us to work together and love each other to get us out of this mess. No one’s coming to save us. Thank you all for your support, we truly need it right now.

Family and Amor in Watts
FAMILY AND AMOR IN WATTS✊🏽
Man One’s newest mural located inside Park Place (at Jordan Downs in Watts) is a 5 story tall mural that was conceived with community input. The mural shows the roots of the community flourishing from the bottom floor as African Lillies, Mexican nopales & palm trees as they grow together making their way up to the next level. The words “FAMILY” & “AMOR” at the center catch your eye as raised arms, hands & fists reach up for the sunset yellow sky. The Watts Towers can be seen protruding behind the arms & a sea of stenciled hearts. Watts has always been resilient.
This is Man One’s second large public art project within this great community. Man One would like to thank everyone in the neighborhood who welcomed him & supported this project. Special thanks goes out to fantastic partner and client BRIDGE Housing, artist assistant Joel Lopez, videographer Vonjako, special coating crew from MuralColors, and Southland Scaffold.
