MAN ONE X GOLDEN STATE CERVEZA
For Latino heritage month this year, I was contacted by Golden Road Brewery to tell my story to their demographics. As they launched a new Mexican lager style beer, Golden State Cerveza, they wanted to tie in an LA native artist to the brand marketing. They came to my studio and we had a great sit down interview. Check out the short video that was used across social media sites to promote the launch and my art practice, just click on the image below..

MAN ONE'S TREASURES
"MAN ONE'S TREASURES"
Size: 10" x 10" x 2"
Medium: Multi-media
(On going series)
Every year I go through literally thousands of caps (plastic nozzles) that I use on my spray cans to create the specific lines I need for my artwork and murals. Although these caps don’t last very long and it’s impossible to re-use once they clog, I’ve decided to incorporate them some how into my work and up-cycle them rather than send them to our landfills.
So by purchasing one of these pieces you can help me in doing our little part in saving the earth and get a cool one of a kind (and affordable) piece of art for your collection!
These unique multi-media pieces are comprised of black ink sketches on acid free matte board sandwiched between a plastic glass frame and a healthy amount of used clogged caps set inside a nice looking shadow box.
*Exact designs may or may not be available as shown here but are similar to those shown. Frames are available in black or white but will be artist choice if not specified at time of purchase.

Opening night reception: Saturday November 16th, 2019 from 5-8pm
Bruce Lurie Gallery is located at 2736 La Cienega Blvd. Los Angeles, Ca 90048
ArtAboveReality is pleased to present “Metropolis: A Snapshot of Art Making in Los Angeles”, a group survey highlighting eighteen contemporary artists in the city of Los Angeles. What really defines a living and working artist in Los Angeles? What does an artist look like? How are artists able to manage expectations with new visibility? This exhibition takes an anthropological and sociological view on the creative practices of artists of color in the city. This re-engagement with artists and their workspaces allows the viewer a firsthand view of the creative process. This exhibition is dedicated to the loving memory of former California African American Museum Curator Vida L. Brown.

Badir was the Co-Owner and Director of Gallery 38 (Los Angeles), a project that produced exhibitions for emerging artists of color in South Los Angeles and helped contribute to several public projects globally, helping artists transform communities through visual aesthetics.
COUPLES PORTRAIT
I just had the honor of being commissioned to create a portrait for my newest art collector couple, Henry and Janet. They asked me to fit both of their faces onto a single wood panel in my colorful and unique style. It was a little challenging because of the size, I usually prefer to work larger, but I was very happy with the final painting and so were they!
It’s always very satisfying to be given the freedom to create something so personal for some very good people. I think they will be enjoying this piece for many years to come!
